Ellie Yaejin Koo (b. Incheon, 2002) is a filmmaker, educator, and artist based on Lenapehoking land (Philadelphia, PA).
Their work explores the Korean-American identity, Diasporic Ecologies, Personal Memory, and Language. They currently attend Temple University for an MFA in Film and Media Arts.

DESCRIPTION
Within a taemong (a Korean conception dream), symbols appear to predict conflicting messages of the child’s gender.
The dreamscape complicates the relationship between gender and national/cultural identity, and challenges notions of prescribed fate under gendered expectations.
