Ellie Yaejin Koo (b. Incheon, 2002) is a filmmaker, educator, and artist based on Lenapehoking land (Philadelphia, PA).
Their work explores the Korean-American identity, Diasporic Ecologies, Personal Memory, and Language. They currently attend Temple University for an MFA in Film and Media Arts.

Where the sea meets the sky, Korea is imagined. Appa Nae Ba-da is an experimental documentary that explores the inheritance of connection with the ocean from the filmmaker’s father, a Korean immigrant who remembers home in the water.
